Women's Mental Health

I provide a safe, confidential, and supportive space where women can explore what they are experiencing without judgment

Pregnancy and the postpartum period bring profound emotional, psychological, and physical change

The transition into motherhood deserves particular attention. While these experiences can be deeply meaningful, they can also introduce unexpected challenges that many women feel unprepared for.

Some women experience heightened anxiety during pregnancy. Others struggle after childbirth with feelings of sadness, emotional numbness, guilt, irritability, or difficulty adjusting to the realities of motherhood. Many find themselves questioning whether what they are experiencing is normal while feeling pressure to remain strong for everyone around them.

UNDERSTANDING WOMEN'S MENTAL HEALTH

Women often carry responsibilities that extend far beyond what others see. Many are balancing careers, relationships, caregiving, parenting, household responsibilities, and community commitments while simultaneously trying to meet their own personal goals and expectations.

Over time, these pressures can lead to emotional exhaustion, chronic stress, anxiety, self-doubt, and feelings of overwhelm. Yet many women continue to push forward without recognizing the toll these demands are taking on their wellbeing.

Every woman's story is different. My approach is tailored to your individual experiences, goals, challenges, and stage of life.

I take a holistic view of mental health, recognizing that emotional wellbeing is influenced by relationships, family dynamics, personal history, cultural expectations, physical health, life transitions, and the many roles women often occupy.

For women navigating pregnancy or early motherhood, therapy often focuses on preparing for emotional changes, strengthening support systems, managing expectations, addressing anxiety, and developing confidence during the transition into parenthood.

For women experiencing burnout, navigating singlehood, anxiety, or relationship difficulties, we work together to identify underlying patterns, build practical coping tools, and create healthier ways of responding to life's challenges.

Let's Talk About it

In-person Sessions

I take face-to-face sessions during regular working hours. In emergent cases, I advise you give my office a call, rather than go through the system. We do our best to accommodate your availability.

Online Sessions

Regardless of where you are in the world, or even if you are close by and could spare the commute, I can meet with you, virtually. Don't let travel plans stop you from prioritising your mental health.

Group Sessions

Coming in as a family - whether it's mother and child ,father and child, or the whole family unit - can seem daunting, but my space is tailored to put you and your family at ease. No frills, or gimics, just an open, and honest environment.
